mother2be is a Greek online store, fully specialized in fertility testing products, such as high quality pregnancy tests and ovulation tests. The store is aimed at women and couples. Since 2010, providing a wide range of products at affordable prices and service from qualified staff, it has been handling large quantities of orders.

mother2be, approached the AstroLabs team to create and implement a new e-shop that meets the specifications of an online store where the management environment is easy to use, with optimized loading speed and the possibility of creating a loyalty system for the public.

Methodology

The team of AstroLabs’ specialized developers, implemented the new e-shop, which is an essential tool for the integrated presentation and sale of mother2be’s products, as well as the promotion of its activities. The objectives of this project were:

Direct and clearly faster communication with e-shop visitors and customers, through a fully functional designed environment.

The operation of a powerful software system resulting in the support of a wide range of products.

The implementation of Upselling & Cross-selling policy in order to increase sales.

The provision of high-speed navigation with the aim of easy navigation of the user in the e-shop.

Through the implementation of the e-shop, using Prestashop as a content management system (CMS), we managed to achieve all the objectives and create the basis for even more optimizations.

What is Prestashop?

Prestashop is an open source e-shop content management system (CMS), which is written in PHP and supports MySQL databases. It is a universal solution that can be customized to optimally serve the needs of large, medium and small businesses.

Some of Prestashop’s features include unlimited product and category listings, multi-store management and high-speed navigation. Prestashop even has inventory management features such as tracking and out-of-stock notifications, as well as customer, sales and order statistics.
